Insight into the lives of Chairman and Managing Director

Chairman of Grand City Kharian Syed Rehan Bin Waris Gillani had a busy schedule this past month. He was overlooking progress of different projects at Grand City Kharian. The person he is, he is always busy in implementing winning strategies along with his brother Managing director Syed Salman bin Waris Gillani for the betterment of the Grand City Kharian & for the lives of Pakistanis.

Visit and Tours

Chairman and Managing director both visited Grand City Kharian recently to check out the progress and Development in phase 2 of Grand City Kharian. They roamed around the Grand City Kharian to see the administration and cleanliness of the society.

Afterwards they met a lot of investors who were willing to invest in Grand City Kharian. Meetings between investors and Chairman were very beneficial as a lot of new investors agreed to invest in Grand City Kharian.

Chairman and Managing director met government officials to discuss law and order situation in Kharian. Government officials assured chairman and Managing director that law & order is monitored and maintained by authorities always. Chairman appreciated efforts of government officials in maintaining law and order and commended them in the role they are playing in service of Pakistan.

Deals

A grand deal was signed with reputable realtors for the master dealership of Grand City’s Tulip sector and a contract was signed with Baskin Robbins to bring to Grand City kharian the most popular ice cream in the world. Chairman and managing director were present in both of these signing ceremonies.

 A ceremony was also held in Grand City Kharian for ground breaking of renowned Sultan Medical Complex. Chairman was glad to see smiles on the faces of Grandians upon hearing the news of the arrival of a highly esteemed hospital within Grand City.

Grand City has signed MOU’s with numerous Banks which includes AL Baraka Bank, MCB Islamic and Bank AL Falah Islamic. All the events were graced by the presence of Chairman Syed Rehan Bin Waris Gillani and Managing Director Syed Salman Bin Waris Gillani whereas top management of these three banks participated in the MOU signing ceremony.

An employee appreciation ceremony was held which was attended by most of the senior management of Grand City. Chairman and Managing Director distributed shields in all of the employees who performed brilliantly.

Mr. Rehan Gillani and Mr. Salman Gillani attended opening ceremony of Dream Homes homes office in Grand City Kharian. This mega event was a covered by local newspapers, news channels and magazines.

Chairman and Managing Director were also chief guests in two more stunning events, the opening ceremony of Tulip Hills and the Earth Breaking ceremony of Director’s House. Ustaad Javed Bashir was specially invited to make the event a crowd puller, he sang his most famous Ghazals in this event and the audience went gaga over his splendid performance.

Sufi Swirling Dance

Swirling Sufi dance is a tradition among Sufis and some non-Sufis alike. Practice of swirling dance dates back to thousands of years.  Sufis have always practiced Swirling Sufi dance as a way of showing devotion to God.

History

Practice of Swirling dance has origins in ancient Turkey. Sufis are very spiritual people besides believing in Oneness of God & living a virtuous life they believe in humanity. They believe all humans are equal and deserve to be treated with respect. Sufis are never extremists; they believe in negation of all extremes. They may not practice religious pillars zealously as some other sects among Muslims do but they live a very spiritual life.

The Event

Grand City has always been a housing society which provides for all needs of its residents and that includes social needs as well. Management of Grand City places special focus on recreational activities of its residents. All kinds of recreational facilities are available so that residents can enjoy their life and stay fit.

On 14th March 2021 Grand City arranged a Sufi night for ladies, it was an all ladies’ night. Sufi swirling dance was special feature of this event. Many ladies most of whom were residents of Grand City Kharian participated in this event, they also invited some friends from outside areas who were all in awe of grandeur & beauty of Grand City Kharian. Everyone enjoyed dance of swirling dervishes. Event ended with a dinner that satisfied taste buds of everyone present there.

Pakistan Day Event

Every Pakistani celebrates Pakistan day with full fervor. Pakistan is a dream for Muslims of the Subcontinent. Dream that Allama Iqbal saw was realized by Muhammad Ali Jinnah in August 1947. Our forefathers had a vision of creating a nation state where Muslims of Sub continent will live as free humans & will be free to practice their religion. Quaid had a vision of a state where women & men will be equal, a state where non-Muslims will play a part in development of country along with Muslims. Quaid once said “You are free to go to your temples; you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place of worship in this state of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed, that has nothing to do with the business of State”.

Background

On 23rd March 1940 the dream that is Pakistan was first put out as an idea in open Public. The idea of a nation state for Pakistani Muslims was discussed in Lahore convention of Muslim League on 23rd March 1940, this event was attended by all notable leaders of Pakistan Muslim League including Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The Event

Grand City Kharian keeps the spirit of being Pakistani alive always. A lot of events are held for celebration of Pakistan Day every year. This year Grand City is hosting grand rallies in which all residents will March on roads in their transports holding Flags of Pakistan in their hands. National anthem will be played on loudspeakers in main park followed by face painting event. Face painting is always favorite event for little kids who just love to paint their faces with different colors specially with the colors of Pakistani flag on Pakistan day. Parents feel overwhelmed when they see their kids so happy & that’s the environment Grand City provides its residents with.

All in all, a joyful event will be held in Grand City Kharian for Pakistan Day on this 23rd March in line with the tradition of Grand City as it has always been done.
